Pat & Dawn Wynne

January 2016, we purchased the repair shop on Nevada Street which was originally built in 1957 as the Midtown Texaco Garage. After 4 long months of working to fix up the old building, we now have The 509 Garage!

Pat grew up in Port Orchard, WA where his talent for mechanics shined when he won a college scholarship from Chrysler Motor Company through a national level trouble shooting competiton in high school. He graduated with honors from UTI college and immediatly went to work for NHRA national drag race team, Walt Austin Racing. Pat was responsible for the Alcohol Funny Car division in which their team was inducted into the NHRA Hall of Fame. In 1997, Pat went to work for Fugate Ford-Mazda where he quickly became one of the lead technicians and earned the prestigious "Ford Master Technician" status. Pat was invited by Ford Motor Company to compete in the exclusive "Ford Ultimate Master Technician Challenge" in which he won top honors. A few years later, Pat became the manager of the Service & Parts department at Fugate Ford - Mazda.

After 18 years with Fugate Ford-Mazda, Pat made the tough decision to leave the dealership and follow his dream of owning his own shop.

Dawn grew up in Enumclaw, WA. where her grandfather opened Fugate Ford in 1964. Her father & uncle now own the dealership where her brother & cousins work and where she met Pat in 1998. Dawn grew up riding and showing Quarter Horses. She also had a love from a young age for classic cars and still owns a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 that she purchased over 20 years ago. Dawn has worked in the car business since 1989 and  currently works for Kelly Blue Book / Autotrader in the Spokane area.
